Mechanical Behavior of Epoxy Reinforced by Hybrid Short Palm/Glass Fibers

Natural fibers (NFs) have recently been the center of attention among researchers due to their low cost, availability, ease manufacture, and potential environmental friendliness as reinforcing agents in composites. The present work deals with mechanical behavior palm fiber-reinforced epoxy-based composites different weight percentage (Wt.%) ratios, ranging from 6% 31.6%. Glass hybrid were also examined. indirect tensile test, i.e., diametral test (DTT) small punch (SPT), used determine properties epoxy reinforced discontinuous random oriented short fibers. Therefore, adding improves epoxy’s compared synthetic composite high Wt.% NF highest strength (DTS), 21.74 MPa, over other DTS medium was lower by 14% 30%, respectively.
